Mauro Reggiani PortraitMauro Reggiani (11 August 1897 - 20 May 1980) was an Italian painter. Immediately after World War II he found friendship with the painters Carlo Carra Dalmazzo , Achille Funi and Peter Marussig . In Paris , where he went in 1926 and in 1930, he met Vassily Kandinsky , Alberto Magnelli , Jean Arp and Max Ernst .
He participated in the first exhibition of abstract art Italian organized in 1934 at the Galleria del Milione in Milan . It is among the first signatories of the manifesto of ' abstractionism and passionate advocate of new openings of new art and more coherent relations with the foreign avant-garde culture.
